#Repost @nadinejholmes_x • • • • • • Feeling like this Giant Anteater today (the little one) This awesome shot, retrieved from @hojanueva mid-season camera checks shows one of the amazing animals in the jungle we are working to protect 💚 Giant anteaters are able to move their tongue over 160 times per minute when foraging for ants. Although large, they are generally not dangerous unless attacked or cornered, at which point they will slash their attacker with their huge claws. When taking ants and termites, they rarely destroy the nest, but rather return to it multiple times 🐜 #cameratraps #cameratrappingperu #camtraps #cameratrapping #cameratrap #browning #browningtrailcameras #trailcam #naturespy #hojanueva #giantanteater #mammals #southamerica #peru #amazon #laspidras #protectwildlife #animallovers #jungle #madrededios #baby #hoja #ants #termites #amazonia #amazonas #natgeo #wildliferesearch
