Installation of trail cameras near the nestboxes

Yesterday we checked the nest boxes in the botanical garden (there are a few dozen). The breeding season is in full swing, the nest boxes occupied mainly the Great Tits (Parus major) and Blue Tits (Cyanistes caeruleus). The birds sat on eggs already in most cases. As usual, Hazel Dormouse (Muscardinus avellanarius) made a nest in some boxes.

A byproduct of this work is that I installed two trail cameras as well. I hope to be able to show some interesting shots next week. 😉

In addition to these, we also observed many interesting animals, such as a Grass Snake (Natrix natrix) and tadpoles in the lake (see below).
